The image I chose was chapter 3 page 89, figure 3.34
It's completely separated from color, seeing as it is black and white.
If we use the Value scale you can see that the right upper corner is about a 10 - 9 in darkness. The darkness suggests a deep emotion throughout the picture. But other than that part most of it is white so you get to see a balance of intense black and white / light gray.
